2009 Challenge Updates

In 2009, I signed up for 10 challenges. I was a newbie to challenges this year and as I mentioned before, I went in to them with very high expectations! I will probably do the same thing in 2010, but I guess I do like to "challenge" myself!! Better to push yourself than cut yourself short, right?!?

As I am wrapping up 2009, I wanted to list my challenges that I joined and completed (or not!) in one post. So, here it is . . .

Completed Challenges
August Reading Challenge
Banned Books Challenge (completed with one book, but review yet unwritten!)
From the Stacks Challenge
NaJuReMoNoMo Challenge
Young Readers Challenge of 2009 (joining this one again next year!)

Incomplete or Failed Challenges
9 Books for 2009 Challenge (read 0 of the 9 books required; very, very sad!!)
A to Z Reading Challenge (only read 14 of 26 books; however, will be trying again next year!)

On-Going Challenges
Harry Potter Reading Challenge (ends July 31, 2010)
James Patterson Reading Challenge (ends August 15, 2010)
The Stephen King/Richard Bachman Challenge (perpetual)

More posts will be coming soon of my 2010 challenges. I have also decided to do a brief challenge update once a month to keep myself on track this year. I simply forgot about a couple of these until it was too late!

How did your challenges go in 2009? Which one was your favorite?

  1. Congratulations on your finished challenges! I only completed one last year, but have high hopes for 2010 and have signed up for four so far! I like your idea of monthly updates, as that may help keep me on track. Thanks for the great idea!

  2. GAH! I didnt know there was a Patterson challenge.... Oh no..... I might be falling into it....LOL

  3. Alexia561 . . . I ended up doing better than I thought I did on my challenges! I have yet to officially post all my 2010 challenges, but they should be coming soon. I have signed up for a TON!!

Sheila (Bookjourney) . . . Just do it!! You know you want to!! :)
