In the meantime, I really have nothing else to report except that I cannot believe that it is already October! The year is quickly getting away from me and my reading goals are really not being met as I had hoped. However, on a positive note, I am writing a much higher percentage of reviews this year than I did last year! Now, I just have to see what kind of reading I can finish from here!
Since I really have nothing left to report this week, I am going to leave you with my latest challenge updates. Enjoy!
- The Stephen King/Richard Bachman Challenge (Perpetual)
- 2011 Graphic Novels Challenge (8 of 3-10 Books)
- Off The Shelf Challenge (7 of 30 Books)
- Young Readers Challenge (9 of 12 Books)
- Take A Chance Challenge 3 (1 of 3 Books)
- 2011 Young Adult Reading Challenge (11 of 50 Books)
- The Dewey Decimal Challenge (3 of 4 Books)
- 100+ Reading Challenge of 2011 (34 of 100 Books)
- Fairy Tale Challenge (2 of 12 Books/Movies)

What was your favorite part of Banned Books Week? Share your favorite links and clue me in to what I missed!
Glad to hear you're on the upswing. I didn't pay any attention to Banned Book Week, except I happen to be reading Night by Elie Wiesel and discovered it is on the Banned Book List. My daughter is reading the oft-banned Go Ask Alice which I banned her from until high school (it was in the mid-grade library). We participated by accident!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you're feeling much better now, Tif.
ReplyDeleteUgh! Hate being sick. So glad you are recovering though.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the year getting away from you. That hit me big time in September and I'm back on track, trying not to think about how I wasted most of 2011. Now is all that matters, right?
Keep going on the mend!
ReplyDeleteI think, that if I were to do all those challenges, that I would have to hire an assistant. Gwen=not so organized;)
Glad you are feeling better. The sad thing is that banned books will be back next year!
ReplyDeleteLinda ... Thank you!! Your participation must have been your subconscious speaking! I've read both those books and really liked them. I think a re-read of the latter is about due for me though!
ReplyDeleteTracy ... Thank you!!
365andMe ... Right! That is what I am telling myself these days anyways!!
Gwen@ChewDigestBooks.com ... LOL!!! Once I started doing my little check-ins, I got a bit better about them, but honestly, I still wouldn't consider myself productive at actually completing them!! :)
Jenners ... Thank you and very, very true! And, with more challenges on the list!
The beginning of the school year is major disease time! The husband is sick right now too.
ReplyDeleteI'm behind on my reading goals as well but I'm trying not to stress about it. :)
Kristen M. ... I hear ya! Since I was sick, my daughter has been sick and now my son has it! Ugh! And, I'm glad to know I'm not alone on the reading goals!
