Monday Maunder: February in Review

It's the first Monday in March, and I am left wondering what the heck happened to February!  Is anyone else wondering where an entire month went?!?

Since the month has come and gone, I thought I would share a few highlights.  Maybe it will help me remember what exactly I did with the time that flew by!

The TOP POST for February (both in hits and comments) was my weekly Monday post on book series.  That was a fun conversation!  If you have more to add, please do!!

My TOP PIC from Instagram was of this adorable little library with 22 likes.  I really do want one of these of my own!

I read four books during the month, for a total of thirteen for the year so far.  It was a little light, but I was in the midst of reading quite a classic chunkster.  The good thing is that as of the last day of the month, I was still one book ahead of schedule for my Goodreads Challenge!  Here's the list of books I speak of . . .

  1. Divergent by Veronica Roth
  2. The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
  3. Runaways, Volume 1 by Brian K. Vaughan
  4. The Unwritten, Volume 6 by Mike Carey

Well, that was February in a nutshell . . . unless you count where most of my time was spent ... helping my daughter with her first year of selling Girl Scout cookies and coaching my son's basketball team.  Oh, now I know where February went!!  I wouldn't change it though.  I had a GREAT experience, particularly with coaching.  I just now have to get through the final two weeks of cookie season!

How was your February?

  1. I don't know where February went either and I don't have any excuse of busyness -- quite the opposite actually with a full week off school! I guess that's what probably did it though -- that and the Olympics. I spent way too much time in front of the tv! I'm ready for a little bit of warmth so that I can spend some time outside and moving.

    Have a great March!

    1. Kristen M. ... How did I forget about the Olympics?!? You are right!! When I wasn't doing something for basketball or Girl Scouts, I was sitting in front of the television watching the Olympics!!

I am so excited for spring this year!! It's been a cold winter, but probably good preparation for me to head back to the mountains!!

  2. February couldn't leave quick enough as far as I'm concerned, but that's mainly for the weather. I'm glad March is here and maybe Spring will be here too.

  3. How fun, cookies and basketball! Ya know I managed to get through the month without a single girl scout encounter? Not sure where they were hiding, because I am usually good for 5 boxes of thin mints (1 for each family member because we do not share those well).

Ugh, February was brutal. I just wrote my Feb recap today too and my goals for March. Lets hope March is kinder and gentler. http://momssmallvictories.com/march-2014-personal-goals-2014goals/

    1. Tanya @ Moms Small Victories ... I really have had fun with cookies and basketball!! Though I really should not have cookies that handy to eat!! My weight loss goals this month were shot because of all that temptation!! :) My husband loves the Thin Mints. I love them too, but I also really love the lemon ones and coconut ones as well!!

I just visited your recap/goals! I think you did pretty good, especially considering the circumstances and that February is a short month! But, I am also hoping for a kinder and gentler March, especially when it comes to the weather!!
