Guess who actually finished Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness?!? It was me!! And, guess who finished The Walking Dead: Book Seven by Robert Kirkman?!? Me!!! Thanks to two nights of reading late, I finally feel like I'm getting through this reading slump. I'm not 100% yet, but I am getting there!!!
I am starting The Passage by Justin Cronin this evening. I may also try to fit in Fables #7: Arabian Nights (and Days) by Bill Willingham. After that, we will see what suits my fancy! I had lots of great thoughts from my readers last week as to my list of RIP reads. The hard part is figuring out where to read next!!
I did get in a little bit of writing, but nothing significant this last week. Hoping for a better writing week this time around!!
Last, but not least, life in general. There is not a lot going on around here that is anything unusual from the usual chaos! I did go to a beautiful wedding this last weekend. I dressed up in a fancy dress, actually fixed my hair, and wore some jewelry. It was fun, but I was also glad to put my jeans back on when all was said and done!!
How did your week go? Anything exciting for the week ahead?
Nothing exciting going on here. I didn't fly to CA for the funeral so I'm sitting here today while everyone is there. It makes me feel a bit weird but I didn't really have a choice (or the money to fly down two weekends in a row). I'm reading Something Wicked This Way Comes -- my first Bradbury! The language is way out there and the story is SUPER creepy. I need to just curl up and read the rest though because I have so many other books I want to get to!ReplyDelete
I kind of feel like I need to dress up for something sometime soon. It's been too long. :)
Kristen M. ... I'm sorry that you are not able to be with your family during this difficult time. I am sure that they know that you are still thinking of them and wish you could be there.Delete
I have never read a Bradbury myself and I really, really need to! I can't wait to hear what you think of Something Wicked!
Congrats on finishing those books!ReplyDelete
I think this is the week I was hibernating. ;) I'm still catching up on email!
Amateur Novelist ... I completely understand! I need to get caught up on blog reading! I haven't been by your site in a couple weeks and I need to catch up!!Delete
Tif, I'm changing things around again. Trimming off the excess, if you will. ;)Delete
Amateur Novelist ... I need to get back over there and catch up some more! :)Delete
