Monday Maunder: July 2, 2012

I am going to keep this short today and just leave you with a couple of pictures for your enjoyment!  Enjoy!

ON READING

I am currently reading Kingdom Keepers #5:  Shell Game by Ridley Pearson.  What's up next?  I have no idea!  Therefore, I think I am going to give you a couple of ideas and you can help me choose!
  1. Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
  2. Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer
  3. The Bird Sisters by Rebecca Rasmussen
  4. Little Bee by Chris Cleave
  5. Blackout (Newsfeed #3) by Mira Grant

ON WRITING

I am slowly getting back into writing!  I had no idea it would prove to be so difficult to get back into the groove of things, but it is happening a little at a time.  Very little, but there is movement!  I will actually be posting a link later this week to my first freelance piece in more than two months.  I am also working on two other pieces.  Like I said, a little movement is happening.

ON LIFE

Life has been crazy this last week thanks to a visit with my mom and my daughter's birthday party.  Thankfully, I am taking this week off of work to relax, have fun, and hopefully, get in lots of reading.  I have just one quick announcement and then I will be leaving you with a few pictures.

I have a winner for the This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer giveaway!!  Congratulations to Shantelle!  Please check your email as you only have 48 hours to respond before I draw a new winner.

And, now I leave you with a few pictures . . .

Memorial Wind Chime:  Given to me as a gift after my father's passing.

Centerpieces for my daughter's princess party!

The princess party cupcakes!

Tell Me:  Which book would you vote to be my next read?  Any other exciting news to share this week?

  1. Wow, Tif, your photos are beautiful. What camera did you say you used? And about the next book, I'd go with Mira Grant, only because I've been wanting to read book one. ;)

    1. 365andMe ... Thank you so much! I actually will have a few more coming in the weeks ahead. I took some more this week! I use a Canon EOS 50D. It was my father's.

I really, really enjoyed the first two in the Mira Grant series and I'm really leaning towards that one myself. I will keep you posted with what I choose!

    2. Ack! Blast my pitiful memory! You told me this before and for some reason, the information was misfiled. On a positive note, that the camera was your father's makes the photos even more special.

  2. I don't know much about any of those books so I can't help with the decision. But hey, I do want to start Wicked maybe at the end of this month? I'll let you know.

Cute party supplies! That's one of the things that makes me sad about not having a little girl ... no princess parties. :)

  3. Kristen M. ... Please keep me posted on Wicked!!! You know I've been wanting to do a re-read of that one and then finish out the series!! It is time!! :)

I had no idea that a girly-girl could be so much fun! I always thought that I would just have boys, so it is a nice spin every now and then!! (You can still do prince and knight parties though!)
