Monday Maunder (October 28, 2013) ... On Tuesday!

Monday has come and gone and I totally forgot to post my weekly maunderings!  So, this week you get them instead on Tuesday!

ON READING

Reading has been a bit on the slow side this week, despite the number of books I finished.  The reading I have completed though has been really good!  Here's a quick breakdown of where the reading stands this week . . .

Books Finished

  • Fables #12:  The Dark Ages by Bill Willingham
  • Fables #13:  The Great Fables by Bill Willingham
  • Fables #14:  Witches by Bill Willingham
  • Fables #15:  Rose Red by Bill Willingham
  • The Ultimate Top Secret Guide To Taking Over the World by Kenn Nesbitt
  • Ivy and Bean and the Ghost That Had to Go by Annie Barrows

Currently Reading

  • Fables #16:  Super Team by Bill Willingham
  • I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak (audiobook)
  • The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies
How are your reading stats for the week?

ON BLOGGING

Blogging is almost back to normal.  I have most of my posts scheduled for this week and hope to get most of November scheduled if possible before the end of the week (see On Writing for the reason why).  In the meantime, I recommend that you check out the chatter surrounding the Doctor Sleep Read-along!  Many of these posts have been the most popular over the last several weeks and there have been some really great discussion going on!  The success surrounding the latest read-alongs has me thinking ... Should I do more?

Would you be interested in seeing more read-alongs or something similar here on the site?

ON WRITING

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) officially kicks off this Friday!  Needless to say, I am NOT ready, but I am going to dive in anyways!  My plan is to get November scheduled for the blog this week, so I can really focus on writing my very first novel.  If I can, I will start on Friday, but it is likely that I will not really get to dive in until Monday.  Throughout the month, I will be putting updates here in the weekly maunderings.  I will also likely do a wrap-up post with my overall stats and feelings about how my first NaNo went.

I updated my profile on the official NaNo website, but I am not sure how much I will actually use it.  I will more likely keep track of my own stats a bit more informally here.  Then again, I may change my mind!  I will keep you posted.

Will you be participating in NaNoWriMo?  Are you ready?

ON LIFE

Remember last week I had mentioned that I had some possible good news?  Well, that looks like it may be panning out, but I don't want to say too much more without having more confirmed details.  Just know that the goodness is still there and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it remains.  When I can tell you the news, I will ... but, it may be a few weeks before I can make any official announcement.  In the meantime, I am excited for Halloween!!

Are you prepared and excited for Halloween?
