Happy Book Lovers Day!!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day?!?

Though I tend to celebrate this day EVERY day, today I want to hear what you think about books.

What are you currently reading?  What are your favorite books?  What books do you find gifting or recommending most often?  Why do you love books?

    reading today a hilarious story of a British girl in France: L'Amour Actually. And listening to The World's Strongest Librarian

      wordsandpeace.com ... I've heard good things about The World's Strongest Librarian. I haven't heard of that other title.

    Ha! Ha! How true! Every day is a day to celebrate books. :)

    Like I mentioned before, I'm back to reading-reading, not just listening to audio books. So reading wise, I'm seriously into "A World I Never Made" by James LePore and "Insatiable" by Rita Herron. My audio books are "Twice Bitten" (Chicagoland Vampires/Book 3) by Chloe Neill, "Shadowfever" (Fever/Book 5) by Karen Marie Moning, and "Follow Your Heart: Finding Purpose in Your Life and Work" by Andrew Matthews.

    As you can see, I still listen/read more than one at a time. The difference now is that I'll be on these for a long time. I don't read quickly like I once did. Too many other things going on right now.

      J. Kaye Oldner ... Yeah!!! I've really been eyeing those Karen Marie Moning books!! My reading changes over time too. I just came from slow reading after working so much. I'm hoping to see it pick up now that I have more time on my hands (especially when the kids start school)!! We learn to just take it in stride!!

    This is an amazing holiday-why was I not informed of this sooner?

    I'm currently reading The Bell by Iris Murdoch. I don't have a favorite book, and I don't like to try and choose. It just feels wrong.

      thelumosrose ... Mark your calendar for next year!!! And, you are right ... trying to choose one favorite book is wrong!! I should have rephrased the question to "What are some of your favorite books?"!! :)
