ON READING
I have had a wonderful week of reading all thanks to the Winter's Respite Read-a-thon!! Here's my stats in review . . .
Total Pages Read: 582
Total Books Finished: 3 (almost 4)
Books Read
Leaving a Trace: The Art of Transforming a Life into Stories by Alexandra Johnson (started before the read-a-thon began)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Joe Hill's The Cape by Jason Ciaremella
Y: The Last Man - The Deluxe Edition Book One by Brian Vaughan & Pia Guerra (only read 83 pages during the actual read-a-thon, but finished earlier today)
All this reading puts me right on track for my Goodreads Challenge of reading 75 books this year! I am feeling very good about this!
How was your reading this last week? Any good recommendations?
ON BLOGGING
As you know, I have been working on updating the site through a multitude of tasks. The biggest accomplishment this week was updating my sidebar content. I cleaned it up a bit as well as updated the look and content. Feel free to click on over and check it out.
In case you missed it, Armchair BEA announced their dates this week!! And, the team is looking for help!! Participant registration will also be coming soon, so be sure to subscribe to the site for updates.
Also, don't forget that I currently have some GIVEAWAYS that are open until the end of this week!!
What do you think about the new and improved sidebars?
ON WRITING
Writing was pretty non-existent this week! Check back next week for hopefully more news in this section!

ON LIFE
Packing began this week. My son played an awesome game of basketball. We visited a Lego exhibit at our local children's museum. Overall, it was a good week. I will leave you with a few Lego pictures for your entertainment.

What were your weekly highlights? Have you seen Lego artwork this amazing before?!?
Congrats on a successful read-a-thon! And I love the pop-up Lego storybook! Incredible! And your new picture is gorgeous! Sort of an elegant, sultry spy vibe! :)
ReplyDeleteAlexia561 ... LOL!!! Somewhere else made a spy comment when I switched my pic on Twitter! My secret life has been exposed!! (Not sure about the elegant, sultry though!!) :)
DeleteI have been in a total holding pattern due to an awful cold. I couldn't even read because my eyes would water too much when I looked at a book or my phone. But thankfully I'm on the mend and ready to get back to reading and blogging -- especially since it's time to start planning DWJ March!
ReplyDeleteKristen M. ... Oh no!! I hope you get back to 100% very soon! It's no fun being sick! BTW, I cannot wait for DWJ March! I need to figure out what I'm going to read this time!
DeleteNo worries on the wrap-up, Tif! You did great on the read-a-thon. I hope you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on drawing the winners for the giveaway. Please let me know if you would like the free ebook copy of John David's short story (info on the read-a-thon prize page). This is separate from the other prizes. He's giving away a free copy to all participants. Email me at truebookaddictATgmailDOTcom
Michelle @ The True Book Addict ... Thank you!! I did enjoy it!! I always feel better when I do week-long readathons than daily ones!!
DeleteI think I will pas on the ebook. I don't have a reader! Thank you though!
Love the Lego pics! As far as reading, I'm still hooked on audio with paranormal romance (ish) stuff. Helps with my walking. I have, however, been working towards reading too.
ReplyDeleteLove the page links at the top. I have that on mine and think it's a cleaner look.
Amateur Novelist ... Thank you! I love the new page links. Definitely looks cleaner this way!
DeleteHave fun with your reading!! I love paranormal anything these days!
Love those lego pictures!
ReplyDeleteFICTION STATE OF MIND ... Those pictures don't even do the real work justice! I was so very impressed!!
