Will you be joining in? What books might be on your list to read?
great idea! I'm doing so much this month but
ReplyDeleteI will join you for 2 books: Mr Murder by King and Nos4R2 by joe.
FICTION STATE OF MIND ... I was thinking this would be a good overlap with RIPX and FrightFall Readathon, and maybe even Dewey's Readathon (if I can end up participating). I'm glad to hear you will be participating! Both of those books are on my TBR list, but I might start with Heart-Shaped Box or 20th Century Ghosts instead. I can't decide!!
DeleteThis is perfect! I was already planning on reading Locke & Key this month, and I've got Lisey's Story on hold at the library.
ReplyDeleteCharleen Lynette ... Yay!!!! As I just tweeted to you, I am a big fan of Locke & Key! I still need to read the last book though. Someday, I hope to own the whole collection.
DeleteI have Horns here so I'll see if I can get to it before the end of the month!
ReplyDeleteKristen M. ... Great!! That one is also on my list, but I don't think I will get to it this time around. I have too many other things on my plate for that much reading!
DeleteGuess what? I'm in. I'm reading Salem's Lot right now and listening to Joe's Locke and Key on audio (which I got for free from Audible the other day). Awesome! Of course, since it's horror, it will be via Castle Macabre. :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle Miller ... Woohoo!! Thank you for joining! I'm curious about Locke & Key on audio though. The graphics in those are phenomenal. Do you get to appreciate those in this format?
DeleteTif, definitely because it's a FULL CAST performance! The actors are Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black, Haley Joel Osmont, Kate Mulgrew and others. It's really terrific. It's like watching a play. :)
DeleteMichelle Miller ... That is so interesting! I have only listened to an audio like that once and I had very mixed feelings about it. It might have been because of the story too. It was one that left me with lots of mixed feelings too!
DeleteThis is an interesting concept. I'll have to research a few of my favorite authors and check if they have sons or fathers writing.
ReplyDeleteL J Dogsmom ... For this event, we are specifically reading Stephen King and his son, Joe Hill. I would be curious to hear if you find others though.
DeleteThis is an awesome event. I just inadvertendltly read Horns by Hill and Finders Keepers by King.

Tanya Patrice ... Awesome! Will you be reading more during the event dates (October 15-November 15)?
Deletemy heavens, so many great reading events going on! I started my first King novel, 11/22/63 and never did finish it. This would give me a good incentive to finish but I'm also doing our Travel the World in Books readathon and probably the I am Malala readalong for Nonfiction November. Do any of King or Hill's books take place in foreign countries? hmmm.....:)
ReplyDeleteTanya @ Moms Small Victories ... That's a great question! I don't know about Hill's, but I can't think of any by King. I will keep thinking though!! This is a great time for events!!
