Monday Maunder: I'm Back!!

I'm sure you have noticed that I have not been around for the last couple of weeks.  A lot has happened, but I will not bore you with all the details.  I will just give you the short version instead, and then will return full-time next week with more bookish chatter.

So, where have I been?  Sick for the most part.  And of course, busy with the holidays.  But, mostly sick.  Over the last few weeks, I have progressively been feeling worse and worse.  I ended up having to go in for some tests earlier than planned, and I am now just currently waiting to find out what I can do in feeling better. I have lost a lot of weight in a short period of time (weight that needed to be lost, but not in this way!).  And, I have made some pretty drastic changes, like submitting my resignation at my new job.  Yikes!

I have not been reading a lot, but I will say that I did get to not only meet my goal for the Goodreads Challenge, but also exceed it.  With a couple days left of the year, I may just get to finish one more book before 2014 comes to an end.

Next week, I will be back in full swing with more updates on my reading and life plans.  I will share a few end of year posts, and much, much more.  Until then, I hope that you have had a great holiday and I wish you all the best as we close out the year and open a new one in 2015!  And, for those extra curious about my Christmas bookish haul, you can find all four pictures of the goodness over at my Instagram account.

Did you receive any bookish gifts for the holidays?  Do you have any big plans for ringing in the new year?  What have I missed out on the last couple of weeks in my absence?

  4. Oh no! You told me you were sick and not getting better but I didn't know you had to leave your new job! I am so sorry, Tif! I hope they figure out what's wrong soon. I went through a period like that before I got diagnosed with FMS (thankfully only half a year, most people go longer.) It's frustrating and scary to not know what is going on with your body! I hope it is nothing serious. I am here if you need anything. ANYTHING.

  7. Hope you're feeling better Tif! Being sick is never fun, but it seems even worse when you're sick over the holidays. Sorry to hear about the job, but I'm sure you'll find something you love soon! Take care of yourself!

  8. Hope you'll be on the mend soon. I slept through the turning of the clock from 2014 to 2015. Sleep is a big priority these days. :) Here's to a healthy 2015!
