Announcing The Shining Read-along!!

Attention King Fans!!

In case you have not yet heard, Stephen King is releasing a sequel to The Shining next month.  The Shining may just be one of his best books ever written and one of the scariest, whether you are a fan of the book or the movie.  It is a true classic, and I cannot wait to see what he will bring in the sequel!
The Shining features Danny, a young boy with psychic abilities.  When his family moves into The Overlook Hotel for his father to care for it during the winter, Danny and his family soon discover that they may not be truly alone.
The sequel, Doctor Sleep, is set to release on September 24.
In Doctor Sleep, King continues Danny's story, but Dan (as he now goes by) is now middle-aged and still trying to heal from those horrifying months at The Overlook Hotel.  Dan meets a young girl that awakens and intensifies his abilities and sends him into another battle between good and evil.

  3. This is such a terrific idea! I'd been debating whether to re-read The Shining before Doctor Sleep arrives, and Charleen was nice enough to let me know about the read-along. I'm so excited for this!

  4. Hmm, thought I just added a comment, but it's nowhere to be seen -- sorry if this is a duplicate! I'm so excited about this! I'd just been debating whether to re-read The Shining prior to Doctor Sleep, and then Charleen let me know about the read-along. What a great idea! Looking forward to it, thanks!
