Original Art

ON READING

Last week, I finished reading Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones and began Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver.  I should finish the latter soon, then it will be back to DWJ for A Tale of Time City for more We Be Reading DWJ March.

How was your reading this week?

ON BLOGGING

The big news for blogging this week was Bloggiesta!  I knew that I would have limited time to work on my long list of tasks, so I was not too surprised when checking things off my list was lacking.  I can say that I did get a few things done, including working on a couple of articles for other sites, commenting on blogs, and updating Books Read in 2013.  I also worked on packing more books for our upcoming move and updating my shelves on Goodreads.  I still have a number of stacks to go, but I am finally almost done with this big task that I've been working on for months.

The one task that I am most proud of over the weekend was creating new button art for this feature, Monday Maunder.  You can see the original art at the top of this post.  I ended up creating two different pieces, but want to hear your opinion on which one you like the best before I make the permanent change.

Option 1

Option 2

Which button do you like the best:  Option 1 or Option 2?

ON WRITING

I have a couple of pieces coming up very soon, but I will post those here as they go live!

ON LIFE

I only have one thing to say here ... my house is ready!!!!  It goes on the market this week!!!  Woohoo!!  I have no energy for anything else!

What was the highlight of your week?

    1. Jennifer @ The Relentless Reader ... Thank you!! I think that is the one I prefer, but I like them both for different reasons!

  2. House on the market this week? Good luck! How long do houses stay on the market in your area on average? When do you need to move? I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out. :)

(And both buttons are nice and I can't decide so I will be of no help instead!)

    1. Kristen M. ... Thank you! Most homes don't stay on the market longer than 3 months in our neighborhood, so I'm hoping our's has about the same timeline. The soonest we can get into our other place is June 30, so we will see how the timing goes! Hope we don't end up homeless, at least not for too long!!

  3. I like them both, but if I have to choose, Option 1. :)

  4. Oh, it's hard to choose! I like option 1 because of the art used, but it has more melancholic feeling somehow, while the second is more cheerful to me. But Both buttons are really great! Hmm, I guess alternating and using them both is not an option? XD

    1. Topcho ... That is definitely an option! I could alternate based upon my mood maybe. Great idea! I will think it over!
