ON WRITING
ON LIFE
I had such a pleasant Thanksgiving weekend! I read a lot. I spent some great time with my family. I took the kids to a movie and watched a few here at home. I ate some wonderfully yummy food. And, I got in some great relaxation after a very busy semester at work. Overall, I would consider this a great success!! Now, I am off to read and sleep some more. Sadly, the first day back to work after a long weekend has left me completely exhausted!!
Did you have a nice relaxing weekend, whether you celebrated a holiday or not? Are you beginning to think about your upcoming goals for 2013 yet?
The Monday after a holiday break is always tough, as we just don't want to get back into the swing of things.
ReplyDeleteHope you're loving the Sandman books, as Neil Gaiman rocks! If it makes you feel any better, didn't too very good with my Sit Down and Write goals either (but I'm still counting it as a success!).
Alexia561 ... So glad I am not alone!! In fact, I'm still struggling!! :)
DeleteI just finished the first Sandman book this last week. I don't love it like I do other graphic novels, but I am definitely intrigued and excited to read the next one in the series!
And, it's better to do something than nothing at all for Sit Down and Write!! :)
How you people with kids sit down and read 517 pages in a weekend BLOWS MY MIND.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I have no kids and I can't sit down and read 40 pages before my mind switches off and I have to do something else. I am so in awe of people who can just sit down and read. Please, lend me your magic. :)
My upcoming goals for 2013 are as follows: 1) keep up with my blog, 2) keep writing my book, 3) read as much as I can, 4) love my friends, family, and my man, and 5) live in the moment as much as possible and stop worrying about the future.
Becca Lostinbooks ... Well, most of my reads were graphic novels, so I get through those faster! :)
DeleteWonderful, wonderful goals for 2013!!! I hope that all of them go well for you!!! :)
Okay, call me the odd duck, but no, I find Mondays wonderful, especially after a busy holiday or weekend.
ReplyDeleteAs far as 2013, I'm already starting my list!
Amateur Novelist ... Really?!? Mondays are so hard for me!! I think some of it is spurred from my love for my job is declining and I just dread going back to work these days!
DeleteCan't wait to see your full list!!
Yep, most people are like you. In fact, I can't remember ever knowing another Monday lover. ;) I like the fresh start of a new week.
DeleteAmateur Novelist ... What a great way to look at it! I've actually never really thought of it that way!
