Christmas Loot #4: The Reader

Today I wrap up the best of the literary holiday loot, featuring my gifts!!  I am so excited about the books that I received that I cannot wait to read them.  Unfortunately, I think I am going to have to set a few of them aside for now so that I can get started on my February book club read . . . The Count of Monte Cristo.  That book is a chunkster and I want to make sure that I allow myself enough time to finish it before we discuss it.  In the meantime, these books sit right next to my bed, easily visible, and ready to read at a moment's notice!

Santa:  Matched by Ally Condie
Giftcard from Parents:  2011 Family Plan-It Calendar (okay not really literary, but still bought at a bookstore!)
Husband:  Room by Emma Donoghue
Santa:  Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke (now completes my collection of the series!)
Giftcard from Parents:  The Next Queen of Heaven by Gregory Maguire
Giftcard from Parents:  Spiderwick Chronicles 3:  Lucinda's Secret by Toni DiTerlizzi & Holly Black (this collection is now complete, too!)

I know this final gift is not a book, but it is still literary-inspired.  Plus, it is one of my favorite gifts because it features a character from one of my favorite books . . . Elphaba of Wicked, or better known as The Wicked Witch of the West.  My new book bag can fit my current read and my new booklight and is truly almost one of a kind.  It is made by Melissa of Haut Totes, a one woman sweat shop that recently acquired the rights to have fabric printed from the artist Sandra Vargas . . . the only one that has these rights!  If you have not seen her stuff, you need to check it out!  I am so completely in love with her bags and cannot get enough of them!!

Okay, that's it!  That's the extent of my loot for now!  However, I did get another giftcard in the mail today . . . one to Amazon.  I may be adding additional books to my list.

Any suggestions of must-have reads that I'm missing?!?
