Christmas Loot #3: In The Kitchen!

Today is the day that I move to the adults for the literary holiday loot, starting with my husband.  Let me tell you . . . my hubby is quite the catch!  Just one of the reasons why is because he can cook . . . and he does it well!!  He gets very excited about finding a good cookbook and our collection is slowing growing because of him.  I really do not care to cook.  I would rather bake.  Basically, it is thanks to him that we eat fairly healthy and well-balanced meals in this household!  Luck for the whole family!  For Christmas this year, he scored big time with four cookbooks.  Take a look . . .

Wife:  Simply Ming One Pot Meals by Ming Tsai & Arthur Boehm
Wife:  Bobby Flay's Burgers, Fries, & Shakes by Bobby Flay, Stephanie Banyas, & Sally Jackson
Giftcard from the In-Laws:  Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Volume I & II by Julia Child

We (or I should rather say he!) have not yet had the opportunity to try any of the new recipes, but I cannot wait personally!  I love the look of some of Ming's and Bobby's recipes!!

What are some of your recommendations for the amateur chefs in your lives?

  3. Tif, I know I am sounding like a broken record, but grab a camera and take a pic of what he cooks. I wanna see it! I'll show it to Steve...lol.
