Finding My Balance!

I know, I know . . . I've been a little absent these days!! I really cannot use the holidays as my excuse. And, I cannot use lack of reading as an excuse!! The truth is . . . I am working on finding my balance in life!!

This past year has been a hectic one for me. I have moved once, remained "traveling homeless" for about six weeks, and then moved again. I then returned to work for the first-time in two years . . . almost as long as this very blog has been active. I have been staring at boxes and boxes still unpacked in my basement and garage since June. My two kids keep me busy, and during my usual blogging time, I simply am just too exhausted to write. I want to read and then just go to bed. Then, add the usual household duties into the mix, some traveling, and my husband who is now working very long hours . . . it simply results in my life taking a downward spiral!

This last week, both my husband and I took some time off of work. We vowed to start getting those boxes unpacked and the garage cleaned out enough so we can actually park our car in it . . . afterall, that is what a garage is for, right? And, we began doing just that!

Having most of the mounds of boxes unpacked, everything finally finding their place after more than six months, and being able to devote some time to things that I have been neglecting since our move (shamelessly, I must admit that balancing my checkbook happened to be one of these!!), I finally feel that I am beginning to find my groove once again.

I have yet more time off the remainder of this week. I plan to continue with these projects around the house . . . unpacking the boxes, balancing that darn checkbook that I have neglected since we opened our new account in June (yikes!), and finally getting our car to fit in the garage . . . and then, I plan to return with more reviews, author interviews, giveaways, and more! My biggest goal in the new year will be to finally find this balance in my life, to get organized, and get back to posting on a more regular basis. So, please continue to bear with me as I do a little housekeeping and get ready for some exciting *NEW* things to come in 2010!!

  2. Hope you find the perfect balance that works for you. If you do, please let me know the secret as I'm still searching for mine! Between work, life, Twitter, blogs, online games, and books, it's sometimes hard to fit everything in! Still a work in progress for me, so sort of know what you're going through.

Take care, good luck with the balancing act, and may 2010 be a great year for you! :)

  3. I totally know how you feel ... lately I have just felt too exhausted to blog and sort of guilty when I spend time reading and writing bloggy stuff because of all of the other things around the house that have been let go for a while.

Here's to a new year and hopefully a fresh start! Happy New Year, Tif!

  6. I was just asking you about your projects, the ones you mentioned on Twitter. Now I know! :) Honestly, I've never been about balance. I've always ridden waves. For 2010, I will be balancing out some, but trying to move my obsessive compulsion of posting so much to novel writing. Time will tell...
